Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to your use of the website of the International Journal of Advancements in Technical Research & Development (IJATRD), published by the Indian Council for Technical Research and Development (ICTRD). By using ijatrd.org, creating an account or submitting a paper, you agree to these terms.

1. Use of the website

• You agree to give correct information when you register and submit, and to keep your login details confidential.
• You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or upload harmful or unlawful content.

2. Author responsibilities

• The paper you submit must be your original work, must not infringe anyone's rights, and must not be under review or published elsewhere.
• All listed authors must have agreed to the submission, and all contributors must be properly credited.
• Plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate submission and other publication misconduct are not tolerated. Papers found to have such issues may be rejected, retracted or reported to the author's institution.
• Copyright and licensing of published papers are governed by the journal's copyright and author guidelines as published on this website.

3. Processing charges

• Charges apply as shown on the Processing Charges page: for Indian authors INR 900 per paper (regular author) or INR 600 per paper (ICTRD member), each plus 18% GST; for international authors USD 120 per paper. For Indian authors, a paper of up to 12 pages is covered, and each additional page is charged at Rs. 50.
• The ICTRD member rate applies only to authors with a valid ICTRD membership and a valid member ID at the time of payment. Membership is checked against ICTRD records.
• The country in your account profile decides whether the Indian or international charge applies. Please keep it correct.
• Payments are made online through Razorpay. Amounts are shown before you pay, and GST is shown separately where it applies.
• We may change our charges from time to time. The charges shown at the time of your payment apply to that payment.

4. Editorial decisions

• Payment of processing charges does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Every paper goes through peer review, and the decision of the editors is final.
• We may reject or withdraw a paper at any stage for reasons such as scope, quality, ethics or misconduct.

5. Intellectual property

The IJATRD name, logo and website design belong to ICTRD. Published papers remain the work of their authors, under the licence stated by the journal.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

• The website and its content are provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee that the website will be available without interruption or error.
• To the extent allowed by law, IJATRD and ICTRD are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the website or from the editorial process.
• Views expressed in published papers are those of the authors.

7. Changes and governing law

• We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with its date, is the current one.
• These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy explains when processing charges can be cancelled or refunded. Processing charges pay for the handling of your paper through our editorial and publication process. They are not a fee for acceptance.

Cancellation by the author

• If you want to withdraw your paper and cancel your payment, write to editor@ijatrd.org from the email address linked to your account. Mention your paper number and your payment ID.
• If we receive your request within 7 days of payment and before your paper has been sent for review, we will cancel the submission and refund the processing charges paid, less any payment gateway charges that cannot be recovered.
• Once your paper has been sent for peer review, the processing charges are non-refundable, whether you withdraw the paper later or it is rejected after review.

Refunds we always make

• Duplicate payment: if you were charged more than once for the same paper, we will refund the extra amount in full.
• Failed payment: if money was deducted from your account but the payment failed or was not recorded against your paper, the amount is refunded in full to your original payment method. Many banks reverse such amounts automatically within 5 to 7 working days. If it is not reversed, contact us with your payment details.
• Charge applied in error: if you were charged the wrong amount because of an error on our side, we will refund the difference.

How refunds are processed

• Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, through Razorpay.
• Refunds are processed within 7 to 10 working days after approval. Your bank may take a few more days to show the amount.
• GST is refunded along with the amount, in proportion to the refund.
• For international payments, the refund is made in the currency of payment. Bank charges and currency conversion differences are outside our control and are not refunded.

Not eligible for a refund

• Papers already sent for peer review, as described above.
• Papers rejected or withdrawn after review has started.
• Requests made after the 7-day period, except for duplicate, failed or erroneous payments.
• Charges paid at the member rate by authors who later find that their membership was not valid. The balance of the regular fee must then be paid.
